Baptism

What is Baptism?

Baptism is a public declaration of faith and an essential act of obedience to Jesus Christ.  Baptism is a profound expression of one's personal commitment to Christ.

Baptism symbolizes several key aspects of faith. First and foremost, it represents the believer's identification with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. As described in Romans 6:4, "We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life."

Our baptisms occur at the beginning of our church service, where you are fully immersed in heated water. This method exemplifies the complete washing away of sin and symbolizes the believer’s rebirth through the Holy Spirit.

We encourage you to invite your family and friends.

What To Expect

We ask that you arrive to the church at least 15 minutes before church service begins. The Pastor will meet you at the entrance to the baptism room. The baptism room is located in the sanctuary, to the right of the stage.

Once inside the baptism room, the Pastor will brief you on the steps of the baptism and confirm your commitment to Christ. You will go into your own private room to prepare for your baptism. Towels and t-shirts will be available to you in your room. The t-shirt is a small gift to you from Grace to remember your special day. You will also receive a Certificate of Baptism a few days after your ceremony.
